Drift
When the market price drifts from $1, the protocol responds automatically — no operator, no off-chain trigger.
Hive Creators / Proof of Use
Numbers, apps, and the economics behind them — read from the chain, not narrated from a deck.
What Proof of Use is
Proof of Use lists the apps shipping on Hive and the activity they generate — settled on-chain, not promised. The list is what we can observe today; the full registry lives on hive.io.
By the numbers
Apps ecosystem
Pick one and start. Every action settles on-chain at the same fee as a post or a vote.
Three gears run on the same chain — HBD for merchant payments, native rewards to creators through curation and posting, and DHF proposals that fund ideas worth shipping. Value moves between people, not through an intermediary.
Players own cards, cities, plots, and items against their Hive account. Inventory travels between sessions, between frontends, and between games that share the same primitives.
A space where communities cooperate from existing platforms or build new ones, with a value layer moderated by the communities themselves. A community's rules travel with its members — not with the frontend that hosts them.
Stablecoin / HBD on Hive
HBD is Hive's dollar-pegged token. Supply adjusts through on-chain conversion mechanisms — when the market price drifts from $1, the protocol contracts or expands HBD to bring it back. The peg is maintained by the protocol's design, not by a central custodian.

Convert
Conversion rules live in the same Hive code that runs every other transaction — no reserve manager, no off-chain balance sheet.
Settle
HBD transfers settle with the same finality and fee structure as a post, a vote, or a custom_json op.
Payments
HBD transfers settle in the same block as any Hive transaction. A merchant or another Hive user receives HBD directly — no processor in between.
Creator rewards
Payouts from curation and posting rewards can be denominated in HBD, so creators receive a dollar-denominated share of a post's earnings.
Funding ideas
DHF proposals — Hive's on-chain funding rounds — clear in HBD, giving teams a way to raise without leaving the network's settlement layer.
Developer utilities
SDKs, wallets, sign-in, and docs. The infrastructure you need to ship a dapp, a community surface, or a creator product on Hive.
